My name is Mr. Garcia. I have been a paraprofessional working with children with special needs for 10 years in the New York City Department of education. I am currently obtaining my masters degree and will begin teaching in September 2024. I will be working with English language learners in the elementary school level as a Teach English to speakers of other languages (TESOL). This wishlist will help me provide my students with materials that are needed to teach them and be able to help them with their goals. Before coming to New York City at the age of four, I was born in Puerto Rico. Spanish was and is my first language. I am a bilingual educator and I am confident that my experiences within the educational system will support the needs of bilingual students. This wish list will provide me the necessities as well as the materials and supplies needed to be a successful teacher.
