My students call me Ms. Biscuit because they can’t always pronounce Bischoff( BISHoff) correctly. I teach at one of the largest, if not the largest, Title1 middle schools in Georgia. I Teach a mixture of special ed, general ed, and multilingual learners all in the same class period. I teach Georgia Studies to students who were either not born in Georgia or who honestly don’t want to live in Georgia. I try to make the content as interesting as possible by tying it more into US history while trying to put as much personal touches to the information. As the years go on (about to start my 11th year in the same school), I have come to realize that it is not about the content you teach but about the love you show the students that makes it interesting! The one thing I have seemed to struggle with lately has been making sure my students are well fed so that they can focus on learning instead of thinking about when or where their next meal will come from. My list reflects all of this!
