As I enter my 17th year teaching 8th-grade Special Education, I'm thrilled to do so as a recent graduate with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. My journey to this doctorate was fueled by my unwavering passion for supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each day in my classroom, I'm inspired by their unique strengths and work to create an inclusive and empowering learning environment. My doctoral studies have not only deepened my understanding of educational policy and leadership but have also equipped me with new perspectives to advocate for and enhance the educational experiences of all students, especially those with diverse learning needs.
