Hi! I’m a Pre-K teacher at a Title I community school, and I’ve been teaching
here for the past four years. My classroom is full of bright, curious, and
energetic 4- and 5-year-olds who are just beginning their school journey. For
many of them, Pre-K is their first experience in a structured learning
environment, and I take that responsibility to heart.
Teaching in a Title I
school means working with students from families that often face financial
hardship. Many of my students come to school carrying challenges no young child
should have to face—housing instability, limited access to food, or a lack of
early learning resources at home. Despite those obstacles, they come to school
eager to learn, to play, and to be loved.
My classroom is a safe and
welcoming space where children are free to be themselves, to make mistakes, and
to grow. We focus on foundational skills like early literacy, math concepts,
social-emotional development, and communication.
