Autistic Support
I am beginning my second year in an Autistic Support classroom. I have 9 students who will spend the day with me for specially designed academic, social, and behavioral education. We will also learn life skills such as shopping, cooking, customer service, cleaning, and taking care of our personal needs. This year I was given permission to create a Sensory Room for my students (as well as other special needs students in my school). I have an empty office space and am looking for help as I gather supplies and materials to create a safe and comfortable space for students to calm down, deescalate, and/or get their sensory needs met.
